Country Diary Posts for week ending 13/05/13
This past week was pretty much an amplification of the previous one, with the three same words defining life on the farm: Birds; Rain and Goats.
We recorded the highest rainfall in the State on the 8th and were relieved when the wind dropped on the 10th, even though it was only briefly. Our rainwater tanks are full and the dam is filling and we are enjoying these drier May days.
We have a loved-up duck couple making this home, but we lost young Billie despite her having her own bodyguard.
We recycled a bed into a hay feeder for the goats who are settling in and we have been observing and learning about goats.
And finally, after almost 4 months, I got really bad blurry photos of the kangaroo and her joey who have been living in the forest.
